21.9.01 - 24.9.01

Our most recent visit to the 'smoke' was on the 21 September 2001. We left Wakefield at 5.00pm on Friday evening  with our friends David & Pauline Alger  and hurtled down Motorway  to London arriving at our hotel at about 8.00 pm. The hotel was in Wembley about 10 minutes from the tube.

So what did we do......

We had dinner in a Greek restaurant.

Went into London, saw some of the sights, went into the worlds greatest toy shop 'Hamleys', watched the musical 'My Fair Lady', and we had a meal in an Italian restaurant called the Belvedere.

Went to Wembley market, bought a carpet, signed the book of condolence at the United States embassy, had a ride down the Thames  and then went on the London Eye.

We had a ride out to Windsor followed by a steady ride back to Wakefield
