On our first full day in Florida we drove to Daytona Beach. Its one place that I had put down on my must see list. To be honest I was disappointed with it, I suppose that I had expected more.

The beach was unusual the sand was so tightly compressed it was like walking on concrete. Infact the sand is so compact cars drive up and down the beach !
