Who Are Richard & Alison ?

Well Richard was born in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire in 1965. He works for Wakefield Metropolitan District Council, and has done for a number of years.

He spends most of his spare time on his computer (its not playing its personal IT development !) and researching his family history, which has become a bit of an obsession.

When he is on holiday in the sun he loves to get a tan,  and has never turned  down a curry.

On a Sunday evening he goes to the Hammer & Anvil, Ryhill, Wakefield  with his Dad to take the 'Water' for medicinal purposes only, which is locally called 'John Smiths' or 'Carling'

Alison was born in Pontefract, West Yorkshire in 1972, she works for one of the major telephone banks in Leeds.

She spends most of her time fussing over her two cats, Jack & Katie. Reading or watching almost anything to do with science fiction and or fantasy.

We got married in August 1995 and have lived in two houses since then. We now live in a village called Crigglestone, which is near Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England.

We both love going on holiday (who doesn't compared to going to work ?) we seem to alternate between the Canary Islands and Memphis, Tennessee.


We have been very fortunate to have forged some very good friendships in Memphis and we think if it was not for family ties in England we would live in Memphis.
